I’m Kat Hoyos, a Sydney-based performing artist. My skills range from acting to singing and dancing, both on stage and screen. I am also an improviser, director, creative director, choreographer, writer, speaker, coach, and educator. Some would say, “she’s versatile,” and some would say, “she wears many hats.” All of these things are true.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Performance: Theatre and Music) from the University of Wollongong and hold a Cert IV from Brent St School of Performing Arts. I have also studied at The Groundlings in Los Angeles, Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS), Scott Sedita (USA), Anthony Brandon Wong (Australia), Margie Haber (USA), Joshua Bitton (USA), Lisa Robertson (USA and Australia), and many more.

Whether on stage or offstage, in front of the camera or behind it, I love to be anywhere there is a good story and an opportunity to play creatively. I value authenticity, exploring vulnerability, and humour. I believe this has shaped my love of telling stories on stage and screen. I enjoy the experience of moving around the different areas of my career. I also offer industry-based workshops and bespoke programs to inspire the next generation of artists across Australia.
