Going for a look unexplored on my head since I was a little baby.

I was nervous about it but @gerard_colehairstudio completely reassured me that it was a vibe 🐛🦋

The salon floor was covered in my hair. I was thinking what have I done…😂

The timing of it during the full moon said everything really 🌕✨

“Turning the bus pink” - an event celebrating the exceptional women shaping the Australian film, tv and media landscape. 💓🎟️🎭🎤⚽️

It was a very warm (thanks humid hair look) and balmy night in Sydney to join for an evening of inspiration, collaboration and fun.

It’s been quite the year for women - I mean the World Cup was epic and to experience it in your home country was special 😍🇦🇺and then we had Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie redefine Barbie…box office records. 🎞️ still a long way to go but the only way through it, is through it. Create change by being the change you wish to see.

My aims are to create, develop, nurture and empower in collaborative and uplifting environments within the stage and screen spaces. And obviously have FUN 😋 that’s a must.

These two legends @diannalagrassa and @thatssotcm have been all around the country making films (one of which I have acted in) and can’t wait to see their amazing efforts shine in December! 🥳

Had an intensive but super fun week directing these lovely humans @tammyhearder and @b.prendergast1 as part of #scienceweek for @performeducation
It was all about artificial intelligence 🤖💻🕹️

Many moons ago I had worked with this company early on in my career as an actor so it was really nice to make a full circle moment stepping into a new role. It was like it was yesterday remembering the energy and commitment one needs to bring.

We had even more fun bringing improv and sketch elements into this that made it unpredictable and entertaining too. Always a different show 💥

Learning a new show in less than a week is no easy feat and these two actors went in and did it!

@vividsydney as it draws to a close I must thank these lit up spirits embracing the many memories shared on this experience. We had fun. My imagination was living. As long as you’re absolutely rugged up it’s all good to go for a winter walk around Sydney. And that you eat before you go in because otherwise you’re down a million dollars. Normally I hate the cold but I braved up for this 🤭🌠❄️

Who else went? That drone show got me thinking… if this is possible, what’s next! Also, where did the drones go when they were done? I couldn’t see.. lol do they test them before show night so one of them doesn’t go rogue? What if one did.. would they follow like seagulls? 🫠

I write this with a heavy ❤️

Last time Cam and I spoke was when she thought of me for a job where my skills outside of acting would benefit. I was very grateful she thought of me. We spoke for a while and she mentioned she was going through some health stuff that we had spoken of before and shared some personal stories of healing.
That was the last time we spoke.

Cam was my like my second mother when we worked on @herecomethehabibs together. She nurtured and cared for me. I remember her always checking in with me, making sure I was ok. And she was very informed in the industry so it was a great benefit to me to learn from her in different ways. I observed her and paid attention. You learn from those above you.

We shared many a story in our trailers and I could see the years of experience and how it translated into our current industry.

I could sense she took me under her wing and I valued that space as I could learn so much from her.

I remember a day I went to visit her at her home and she opened the fridge and her perfumes were in there. I said “what’s that about?” And she said they’ll keep for longer with the smell. Genius I thought. Not sure why it’s a memory that stuck with me. 🥹

I remember catching up at a callback where we were both going for the same role. We laughed. We hugged. And the feeling was nothing but “I hope you get it” to each other. We both didn’t get it. Haha.

I could tell she had me in her thoughts and I did with her. When you’re working on a show where you are family, chances are you share the deep and meaningfuls along the way.

Cam, thank you for seeing the light in me and encouraging me to find my power. Thank you for helping me navigate this industry and for your insightful words. Thank you for your hugs and tears.

You are missed. One day I’ll see you again and we can put some perfume on that’s sitting in the fridge and smell delicious for all eternity. Lots of love, your tv daughter - Kat ✨❤️
